Mercury

Reaching For The Stars - Concepts & Design

Artist - Diane Crespo

In February 2001, Mercury purchased a High Falls Horse. Carolyn Steinkirchner from Xerox Corp. initiated the concept. Diane Crespo from Mercury created the design which incorporates images from Mercury's capabilities brochure, the Rochester Cityscape and Rochester's trademark of Lilacs.

This was a grand undertaking that involved our whole company. Once word got around about this project, support was offered along with ideas, suggestions and actual help. Dick Goodrich and Dave Henshaw undertook the bodywork and the wings. The artists were Diane Crespo, Amy Pike, Virginia Catizone and Lee Place from Mercury.

The time and effort put forth was astounding. The teamwork and support was of the same spirit that has made Mercury such a success. This is another feather in Mercury's cap, an addition to our collection of "hats of many trades," and has become an opportunity for growth and exposure for the people and talents of our company. We have truly reached our goal of "Mercury Reaching For The Stars".

Text is from a Mercury Print Productions, Inc. hand-out describing the horse "Mercury".
